DEQ, DOW and Dioxin

I am wondering if there is a correlation with dioxin and where I live and the health issues we are going through. Dow just announced a few weeks ago that there is Dioxin in Midland and in Saginaw and that they are cleaning it up. I live 35 feet of the train tracks that take that material to dow. I was talking to the eye dr today and asked her if she had ever heard of a correlation of trains and all of these wierd diseases. She looked at me flabber gassed and said and said no heather I have never correlated it with the trains I have always thought of the water or the dumps in this area. She told me the number of cancers and brain tumors in this area is WAY up and in fact she has been keeping a list and has been doing her own plotting. Pretty strange that everyone in my family has had some sort of issue. You just have to wonder what has caused it.
